I am starting this new blog to chronicle the lives of our family and animals as we pursue our dream of the unexpected. I have another blog as well, The Ballad of a Subcultural Mother http://onegirlslittleolddream.blogspot.com
We unearthed our family roots in December of 2009 when we purchased our first home in an extremely rural town of Sutherland, Utah. We had been working towards home ownership for at least six months prior, trying to get loan approval.
My husband got hired on as a motorcycle mechanic at the local sports center in the town of Delta. He was hired on in July of 2009, and in those five months, we lived 130 miles apart. It was a very trying time for us seeing how we only saw each other every other weekend if we were lucky. During this time he was to decide if this is really what we wanted from our lives. Did we really want to move our family to a place where we knew no one?
The house? Well, it is a far cry from my dream house, but I am happier now in this house then I have been in a very long time. We live on an acre and a half of farm land in Central Utah. i am originally from Seattle, WA where things stay green all year round for the most part. here, my trees are just barely blooming, and we have way more weeds then grass.
For introductory purposes, I think I will take you room by room through my house, and then we will move to the outside.
First stop, kitchen.
